<p>PURPOSE: A calcination method of electrode materials using a rotary kiln is provided to increase stability of electrode material for chemical reaction with electrolyte. CONSTITUTION: A calcination method of electrode materials using a rotary kiln comprises the following steps: putting the electrode material particles at the upper part of a kiln main body(124); calcinating the electrode material particle while transferring the electrode material particle from the upper end portion to the lower end of the kiln main body; and discharging the calcinated electrode material particles from the lower end of the kiln main body. The calcining temperature of the electrode material is 400-1,000 deg. Celsius. The electrode material stays within the kiln main body for 0.5-6 hours. The pressure of the positive pressure gas within the kiln main body is higher than the atmospheric pressure of 0.01-1kPa.
