The holder is connected by a solid-body joint (4) arranged in a gap (16) formed between a base unit (1) and an adjusting element (2). A center of rotation of the solid-body joint intersects an axis of symmetry, around which the base unit and the adjusting element partially possess a rotational symmetry around an angle. Another adjusting element (3) is connected to the former adjusting element via another solid-body joint (5). An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a holder for an optical component.
