PURPOSE: A pipe bending unit and a control method thereof are provided to manufacture a spiral pipe at low costs by employing a spiral die roller. CONSTITUTION: A pipe bending comprises a frame(101) with a base plate(110), a spiral die roller(120) which is rotated on the top of the base plate and has a first groove(121) on the outer surface, a first driving unit(130) rotating the spiral die roller, a support roller(140) which is located on the top of the base plate and has a second groove(142) formed along the periphery, a second driving unit(150) moving the support roller to be located on the outer surface of the spiral die roller or separated, and a control unit(180) controlling the second driving unit. A pipe is inserted between the first and second grooves when the support roller is inserted to the exterior of the spiral die roller, and then the pipe is bent into a spiral shape by the rotation of the spiral die roller as being supported by the support roller. |
