PURPOSE: A content reception method and an apparatus thereof are provided to reduce resource used for reception of content and to reduce delay time in a mobile communication system. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(780) receives content selection input. The control unit determines whether the selected content is supplied from a local server. A wireless communication unit(730) transmits a content transmission request message to an eNB(enhanced Node B) when the content is supplied from the local server.
