PURPOSE: An electrical connector is provided to instantly confirm an insertion state of signal transmission medium such as an FPC(Flexible Printed Circuit) and an FFC(Flexible Flat Cable) and to increase the reliability of an electrical connector. CONSTITUTION: A lock confirming unit is installed in an insulating housing(11). The lock confirming unit allows a user to view a displacement state of a locking member. The lock confirming unit includes a window unit and a slit unit(11d). The window unit or the slit unit penetrates a wall which consists of the insulating housing. A part of the locking member is projected to the insulating housing through the slit unit.
