PURPOSE: A food containing method, and a storage container for the method are provided to reduce the storage volume of food, and to enable users to easily carry the food. CONSTITUTION: A storage container is for storing food packed in a packaging container. A user can discharge the food from the packaging container after removing a sealing material. The sealing material goes into the storage container after being removed from the packaging container. The storage container is sealed after inserting the food inside the packaging container. The storage container includes a first storage unit(2) for storing the food, and a second storage unit(3) for storing the packaging container.
