<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage facility, in which a plurality of storage palettes are uniformly used as far as possible, while appropriately storing articles carried therein from the outside by using the storage palettes. <P>SOLUTION: When a stacked palette group P1 is stored in a storage part 1, a control means performs processing in order of priority of selection processing for all available and selection processing for different sorts. In the selection processing for all available, a target storage part is selected from the storage part 1 of which the two storage spaces are available storage spaces, and a back storage space 1a of the target storage part is defined as a target storage space. In the selection processing for different sorts, different sorts of storage articles are housed in the back storage space 1a, and a target storage part is selected from a storage part of which a front storage space 1b is an available storage space, and the front storage space 1b in the target storage part is defined as a target storage space.
