PURPOSE: An accessory phone and a control method thereof are provided to perform call control through a local area wireless communication with a portable computer and to perform telephone number dialing through key input. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(45) transfers a user command to a central control device. The user command includes key input for a short text message for call origination from a user. A ring/tone driving device(46) operates ring tone by receiving control of the central control device. An audio I/O device(47) reproduces an audio signal inputted through a local area wireless communication module by receiving control of the central control device. The audio I/O device transmits the audio signal from the user.
