The present invention provides a method for preparing a multicellular aggregate of lymphomatous cells (MALC). The major principle of the invention is a modification of the "hanging drop" method by introducing a gelling agent during drop preparation. This technique provide a reliable method for obtaining stiff 3D culture permitting cell biology analyses, immunohistochemistry studies, as well as drug distribution and efficacy measurement. Through the possibility to introduce matrix proteins and non-tumour cells, this model offers also the opportunity to recreate lymphoma microenvironment. |
