The invention relates to a fuel dispensing nozzle featuring a main channel for supplying fuel to the outflow end of a spout 7, and a blocking mechanism configured to seal the outflow end of the spout. The blocking mechanism features a least one shutter 10 biased closed directly or indirectly by a spring arrangement 12, and a closing mechanism which corresponds with a filler pipe 8 for receiving the spout during a fueling process in such a way that the closing mechanism moves the at least one shutter directly or indirectly into an open position, when the spout is introduced into the filler pipe. The closing mechanism could be mechanical gear or a mechanical/electrical device using a sensor and an actuator. The closing mechanism may include a movable bushing 11 which moves the shutter open when the bushing is pressed against the restrictor 15 of the filler pipe 8. |
