The circuit breaker has a housing and a handle that extends from housing and indicates the ON/OFF position. The handle opens/closes the switching contacts such that current flows when contacts are closed. A locking element prevents the change of switching state of contacts from closed position. The locking element has locking portion (4a) in recess of housing where recess and handle are connected over a through-hole (8). The locking portion has slider (7a) that is latched in through-hole into which a portion of handle is pushed such that pivoting of handle is blocked.
