PURPOSE: An automatic opening and closing device for a slide door is provided to efficiently open and close a door by reducing the opening and closing speed of the door. CONSTITUTION: An automatic opening and closing device for a slide door comprises a first damping device(14) for the indoor and a second damping device(15) for the outdoor. The first and second damping devices have a guide plate(19), a damper(20), a switch(24), and a spring(25). The guide plate has a guiderail(18). The damper is installed on the top surface of the guide plate. The switch is coupled to a rod of the damper and is slid along the guiderail of the guide plate. One side of the spring is connected to the switch, and the other side is fixed to the guide plate to restore restoring force to the switch.
