<p>A system for spraying liquid for agricultural purposes and a method for spraying is disclosed. The system comprising: at least one liquid reservoir (18); a plurality of laterally spaced nozzles (14, 16, 18) and segmented supply conduits (24, 30, 32, 34, 36) extending between said supply reservoir (18) and said nozzles (14, 16, 18). In order to provide a system that automatically primes the conduits so as to enable efficient spraying the system comprises a primary pump (22) for delivering said liquid from said reservoir (18) at a preselected volume rate to said plurality of said nozzles (14, 16, 18); and a controller (88) for said primary pump (22), said controller (88) operating said primary pump (22) for a predetermined time dependent upon the internal volume of said segmented supply conduits (24, 30, 32, 34, 36) and said preselected volume flow rate to fill and prime said segmented supply conduits (24, 30, 32, 34, 36).</p> |
