APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING 3-DIMENSION DISTANCE

PURPOSE: A device and a method for measuring a three-dimensional distance are provided to extract an object having predetermined height among objects with a low reflection coefficient which is not easily detected with a sensor using infrared rays or ultrasonic rays. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring a three-dimensional distance comprises an image projecting module(12), an image obtaining module(11), and a controlling unit(20). The image projecting module makes an object form vertical line pattern caused by a light projection. The image obtaining module is formed above or beneath the image projecting module. The controlling unit detects the vertical line pattern from vertical line pattern images. The controlling unit determines a geometric shape through an edge formed by the detected vertical line patterns and the object.
