<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for ships which minimizes the release of SOx into the atmosphere by efficiently removing particulate components and NOx from the exhaust gas of a diesel engine for ships using a heavy oil as the fuel, and also provide a method for exhaust emission control using the exhaust emission control device. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device for ships purifies the exhaust gas from the diesel engine for ships using a heavy oil as the fuel. The exhaust emission control device includes a reducing component spraying means (A) for spraying and supplying the reducing components of nitrogen oxides into the exhaust gas, a flow-through selective reduction catalyst (B) for reducing the nitrogen oxides by bringing the reducing components into contact with the exhaust gas, an electrostatic adsorption flow-through dust collector (C) for adsorbing the particulate components in the exhaust gas, and a particulate removal means (D) for separating the particulates by acting at least impact or vibration on the collected particulate components. The electrostatic adsorption flow-through dust collector (C) is disposed on the downstream side of the flow-through selective reduction catalyst (B) in an exhaust gas flow passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
