<p>The generator has combustion initiators (68, 69) arranged in contact with first and second solid propellant charges (66, 67) to initiate combustion of the charges by surfaces (S1, S2) defined by a central channel (611) and another central channel, respectively. A flexible partition (64) is adhered with the second charge. A membrane forming the partition is configured such that combustion gas pressure formed by initiation of the second charge causes detachment of a wall portion of the partition and breakage of the partition to release combustion gas from the latter channel. The initiators are micro-rocket type bi-function igniters. The solid propellant charges contain composite propellant such as cross linked double base propellant. The generator is made of composite material, hybrid material e.g. aluminum and Kevlar(RTM: para-aramid synthetic fiber) alloy, or metal i.e. steel.</p> |
