PURPOSE: A method for screening a therapeutic agent for rhinitis or sinusitis is provided to overcome hypoxic effect and to reduce penetration of an epidermal cell layer. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a therapeutic agent for treating rhinitis or sinusitis comprises: a step of treating a test material to nasal cavity or airway epithelial cell layers; and a step of analyzing bacteria, virus, fungi, or antigen passing through the epithelial cell layers. The test sample is determined as a therapeutic agent for treating rhinitis or sinusitis when the infected materials are increased. The epithelial cells are NHNE(normal human nasal epithelial) cells or human lung mucoepidermoid cells.
