A safety belt buffer (40, figure 2) structure for a bicycle child carrier (20, figure 2) in which a safety belt (30, figure 2) is provided on a seat and has two shoulder portions (33, figure 2), and each of the shoulder portions 33 has one end fixed to a seat portion of the seat 20 and another end fixed to a back portion of the seat 20 by two buffers 40. Each of the buffers 40 comprises a base 41, a rod 43, an elastic member 44, and a linkage member 46. Movement of the rod 43 through the base 41 is controlled by the elasticity of the elastic member 44, so that the buffers 40 can allow the length of the shoulder portions from the seat portion to the back portion to vary. When the brake is applied, the safety buffer structure 40 is capable of protecting the child by providing a buffering effect to the child, so as to reduce the reaction caused by the pressing force of the shoulder portions of the safety belt. |
