<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound and its metal complex and an optical recording material, particularly suitable for formation of an optical recording layer in an optical recording medium for short-wavelength recording light. <P>SOLUTION: The oxime compound is represented by general formula (I) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom, a 1-8C alkyl group, a 6-20C aryl group or a 7-20C arylalkyl group; R<SP>2</SP>is a 1-8C alkyl group, a 6-20C aryl group or a 7-20C arylalkyl group; R<SP>3</SP>is a hydrogen atom, a 1-18C alkyl group, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group or an amino group and adjacent R<SP>3</SP>may be connected to each other to form a ring; n is 1-4; the above 1-8C or 1-18C alkyl group, 6-20C aryl group, 7-20C arylalkyl group and amino group may have a substituent and the methyl group in the above 1-8C or 1-18C alkyl group may be substituted with -CH=CH<SB>2</SB>and methylene group may be substituted with -O-, -CO- or -CH=CH-). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
