<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device capable of operating other devices without requiring much time and effort. <P>SOLUTION: When it is decided that data can be communicated with a video display device, a display element for transmitting a control signal for operating the video display device is displayed. When an indication input to the display element is received, the control signal for operating the video display device is transmitted to the video display device.
