<p>PURPOSE: An input device using a touch pad and an input method thereof are provided to determine display coordinates to be displayed on a display by applying variance of coordinates inputted to the touch pad as an absolute value. CONSTITUTION: A pad unit(131) includes rectangle coordinate input area having jm×n of coordinates. A coordinate detection unit(132) detects coordinates of an input action sensed on the pad unit. An output coordinate setting unit(154) of a control unit(150) corrects a coordinate value in input coordinates according to a position of a display area. The control unit generates output coordinates displayed on a display unit(110).
