PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to manufacture the light emitting device with different colors by using an electro luminescent layer which is formed with the same device under the same condition. CONSTITUTION: A first transparent conductive layer transmitting light is formed on a first insulation layer. A first electro luminescent layer(110) is formed on the first transparent conductive layer. A second insulation layer is formed on a second substrate. A second transparent conductive layer(126) transmitting the light is formed on the second insulation layer. A second electro luminescent layer(130) is formed on the second transparent conductive layer. A first conductive layer(112) is formed on the first electro luminescent layer. A second conductive layer(132) is formed on the second electro luminescent layer. A film thickness of the first transparent conductive layer is different from that of the second transparent conductive layer.
