PURPOSE: A method for grinding thin sheet workpiece and a double-end surface grinder are provided to reduce manufacturing costs and improve grinding accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A method for grinding thin sheet workpiece is as follows. The both sides of a thin sheet workpiece kept between a pair of constant pressure pads are grinded and the position of the workepiece is calculated. The real time position of the workpiece and a reference position are compared with each other for unifying the grinding position for the both sides of the thin sheet workpiece. The position of the grinding workpiece is adjusted for securing the accuracy.
