MULTI COLOR ELECTROPHORETIC DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF DRIVING THE DEVICE

PURPOSE: A multi color electrophoretic display device and an operating method thereof are provided to easily adjust lightness of a color, thereby easily displaying a white color and a black color. CONSTITUTION: A cavity configuring a color sub pixel is filled with color fluid(CU1~CU3). White electrophoretic particles are dispersed in the color fluid. Black electrophoretic particles(KP) have electrophoretic mobility different from the electrophoretic mobility of the white electrophoretic particles. The electrodes adjust the relative ratio of the black electrophoretic particles to white electrophoretic particles which are seen through a display surface. The electrodes adjust brightness of a color of the color fluid.
