PURPOSE: A producing method of scorched rice using medical herbs is provided to improve the eating texture and the palatability of the scorched rice for users. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of scorched rice using medical herbs comprises the following steps: boiling the medical herbs with 2-3 times the amount of water at 100-120 deg C for 4 hours; passing the boiled water through a filter to obtain a medical herb extract containing the solid portion of 7-10%; washing rice, and soaking the rice in water for 1-2 hours; cooking the rice into hard-boiled rice by mixing 100kg of rice and 120kg of water containing 0.5-5% of medical herb extract; and producing the scorched rice using the hard-boiled rice. The medical herbs include Artemisia capillaries, pine needles, kudzu roots, Codonopsis lanceolata, balloon flower roots, Ligularia fischeri, dandelion, ginseng, woods grown ginseng, Schisandra chinensis, Tricholoma matsutake, and other ingredients.
