A method for achieving a monodiameter wellbore extending through various formations. The method includes extending a work string into the wellbore, the work string having a bottomhole assembly, flowing drilling fluids through the work string and bottomhole assembly and drilling the wellbore using an extended gauge drilling member to minimize spiraling of the wellbore. Further, the method includes sending to the surface real-time downhole information from a measurement while drilling tool or a logging while drilling tool or one or more sensors in the extended gauge drilling member tool and altering the direction of drilling based on the real-time downhole information using a directional steering assembly.
