PURPOSE: An intelligent energy management system using an energy storage system is provided to maximally save energy in an electric railway system by connecting a regenerative energy management device, a regenerative energy saving device, a motor car, and an electric power substation. CONSTITUTION: An energy storage device(500) stores regenerative energy generated in a motor car. An energy management device(400) controls energy in the energy storage device. An electric power substation(700) supplies the motor car with the energy. A location information detection part(311) detects location information by calculating a driving distance of the motor car. A voltage detecting part(312) detects a voltage supplied to the motor car from a car line.
