The method involves connecting a transducer unit (4) for producing and transmission of a control signal with pre-determined characteristics, such that an emergency brake (6a,6b) of a vehicle is applied. A receiving unit (8) is connected to the emergency brake line system (5) of the vehicle for receiving and for detecting an optionally available control signal in the receiving unit. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a system for minimizing the risk of the immediate and unintended application of an emergency brake of a vehicle while driving; (2) a transducer unit for producing a control signal; and (3) a receiving unit for receiving a control signal.
