PURPOSE: An electro-optical device, a driving method thereof, a control device thereof and an electronic device are provided to reduce power consumption by decreasing the number of data lines. CONSTITUTION: An electro-optical device(1) includes a controller(2), a display(3), a scanning line drive circuit(4) and a data line drive circuit(5). The controller outputs various signals for driving pixels of the display. A scanning line(112) is installed along the X direction of the display. A first data line(114A) and a second data line(114B) are installed along the Y direction. A pixel circuit(110) is installed in a matrix shape along the X direction and the Y direction.
