A suction machine intended for a dental or surgical suction installation is specified which comprises a separating unit (20), which contains a rotor (22) and is used to separate liquid and if appropriate solid constituents from a suctioned mixture of air, liquid and if appropriate solids, and a suction fan (60), which is connected to an air outlet (37) of the separating unit (20) and has a housing (61) and an impeller (62). The suction fan (60) is designed as a radial fan whose impeller (62) is driven by an electrically commuted electric motor (43), which drives the rotor (22) of the separating unit (20) via a gearing (36). |
