PURPOSE: A device for measuring the noise of a hard disc drive and a method thereof are provided to measure the noise generated by hard disk drive drives and a micro phone, thereby precisely measuring the noise in a closed space. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring the noise of a hard disc drive and a method thereof comprise a lifting unit(300), an upper chamber(400), a chamber base(500), a horizontally transferring unit, and a noise measuring unit(700). The lifting unit is fixed to a supporting unit(10) and moves the upper chamber up and down. The upper chamber closes a space where a hard disc drive is seated when the lifting unit is moved down. When the hard disc drive is seated on a base plate(510), the chamber base is arranged in the lower part of the chamber. The horizontally transferring unit horizontally transfers the chamber base. The noise measuring unit comprises a micro phone(710) by penetrating into the upper part of the upper chamber and measures noise generated when driving the hard disc drive.
