PURPOSE: A method for providing an online shopping service using a virtual space and an avatar is provided to supply fun such as a reality shopping with movement of the avatar of a user in a virtual shopping mall. CONSTITUTION: A service providing server builds a virtual shopping mall including virtual streets and virtual stores of an online(S100). The service providing server moves an avatar of a user in the virtual shopping mall built according to an signal inputted from a user terminal(S200). The service providing server saves mileage for the user according to movement of the avatar(S300). The avatar is entered in virtual shops(S400). An inside of the virtual shops are transmitted to the user terminal as a 3D image(S500). Detail information of a specific product is transmitted to the user terminal(S600).
