PURPOSE: A broadcasting signal receiver and operation method thereof are provided to improve user convenience by providing a simple manipulation method to users. CONSTITUTION: A content provider(10Q) provides a content to a client(100Q) according to a broadcasting signal. When a sound sensing unit receives a voice recognition call command, the operation unit executes a voice mode. When the sound sensing unit inputs the voice command, the operation unit executes a set function corresponding to the voice command or selects one or more objects corresponding to the voice command from a plurality of objects displayed on a display panel.
