The device (1) has a clamp bracket (2) whose upper and lower rectilinear branches (4, 5) are parallel to each other, where the lower branch is longer than the upper branch. The upper branch serves as a hooking unit to hook the bracket to a free edge (B) of a roof covering (PC) while being arranged above the free edge. A fastening screw (11) i.e. self-drilling screw, successively traverses the free edge and the lower branch to fix the lower branch under the free edge. The screw has a head (12) resting on the free edge via a sealing unit, in the position of fixing the bracket to the covering. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a construction accessory supporting and securing device.
