The tool (2) has a guide body (22) defining a channel (222) for ejecting a clip (4), and a piston (24) displaceable in the guide body to urge the clip from the ejection channel to an outlet (226) of the channel. A guide (50) feeds the clip to the ejection channel through a lateral opening (228) of the guide body. The guide includes two elongated supports (52, 54) extending parallel to each other on both sides of the lateral opening of the guide body, where the supports define a zone (Z4) for movement of the clip to the ejection channel. An independent claim is also included for a fastening assembly for fixing tubes or cables to a supporting structure.
