The system (1) has an accumulator battery (2) comprising two terminals (3, 4) with positive and negative polarities, respectively. An analyzing device (9) analyzes an operating condition of contactors (5, 6). The device includes two dipoles (10, 11), where each dipole includes a contact (10.1) connected to one of the terminals and another contact (10.2) connected to a connection lug (8) associated with the other terminal. A control device (12) controls closing process of the contactors and detects flow of current (I1) in the dipoles. An independent claim is also included for a method for checking an operating condition of contactors of traction storage system.
