The machine (2) has a working rotor (4) driven by a drive system (3) for treating a harvested product and/or for tillage. The drive system includes a mechanical driving belt (6) that is coupled to a power take-off shaft (5) of a tractor (1) to actuate the rotor using the shaft. The drive system includes an additional motor (7) e.g. electric motor or pressurized fluid actuated motor, whose drive torque is superimposed with drive torque of the driving belt derived from the shaft of the tractor. The additional motor is connected to the rotor via the driving belt.
