<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing Li<SB POS="POST">4</SB>Ti<SB POS="POST">5</SB>O<SB POS="POST">12</SB>suitable for an electrode material for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery, and to provide an electrode for the nonaqueous electrolyte battery capable of reducing an internal resistance of the battery, and the nonaqueous electrolyte battery. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing Li<SB POS="POST">4</SB>Ti<SB POS="POST">5</SB>O<SB POS="POST">12</SB>, which is a method in which a Li source and a Ti source are mixed and fired, to thereby produce Li<SB POS="POST">4</SB>Ti<SB POS="POST">5</SB>O<SB POS="POST">12</SB>, includes a mixing step of mixing the Li source and the Ti source so that the Ti amount becomes excess in comparison with a stoichiometric ratio to obtain a mixture, and a firing step of firing the mixture. Especially, the Ti amount is preferably excessive by 1-2 mol% in comparison with the stoichiometric ratio. In the electrode for the nonaqueous electrolyte battery, and also in the nonaqueous electrolyte battery, Li<SB POS="POST">4</SB>Ti<SB POS="POST">5</SB>O<SB POS="POST">12</SB>is used as an active material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
