<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a lithium secondary battery which can achieve both of retainability for a nonaqueous electrolyte and binding properties between graphite particles or between the graphite particles and a collector. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode for the lithium secondary battery comprises the sheet-shaped collector and an electrode mixture layer deposited on a surface of the collector. The electrode mixture layer contains the graphite particles and a particulate binding material. In a particle size distribution of the graphite particle, a particle diameter D50 where an accumulated volume becomes 50% is 5 μm or more but 30 μm or less. The particulate binding material contains a first rubber-like resin particle and a second rubber-like resin particle that has higher swelling properties to the nonaqueous electrolyte than that of the first rubber-like resin particle. An average particle diameter of the first rubber-like resin particle is 130 nm or more, and an average particle diameter of the second rubber-like resin particle is less than 130 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
