<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit capable of achieving miniaturization and long life of a discharging switch for a capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply unit 1 includes a boosting section 3, a capacitor 4, a series body 5, a first switch 6, and a second switch 7. The boosting section 3 is comprised of a chalk coil 30 and a switching element 31. The series body 5 is comprised of a first diode 50, a resistor 51 and a second diode 52. At power shutdown of a DC load 2, the switching element 31 is turned off and the second switch 7 is turned on. Then, by switching the switching element 31 from OFF to ON, the capacitor 4 is discharged. A discharging current Id of the capacitor 4 runs through the first switch 6, the resistor 51, the second switch 7 and the switching element 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
