<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device and a projector using the same capable of efficiently cooling a part corresponding to a light condensing spot of a fluorescent layer, without increase in size of the light source device, and capable of suppressing deterioration of an organic binder and reduction of wavelength conversion efficiency of the fluorescent layer, caused by high temperature of the part. <P>SOLUTION: A light source device 70A comprises: a light emitting device for emitting excitation light; a rotary fluorescent plate 30 having a fluorescent layer 42 which is provided on a substrate 40 rotatable by a motor and formed along the rotation direction of the substrate 40, and which converts a part or the whole of the excitation light to fluorescent light of a wavelength different from the excitation light; and a centrifugal fan 71 which is arranged facing the rotary fluorescent plate 30 and blows wind toward a wavelength conversion part S of the fluorescent layer 42, by rotating multiple blades 73 around a rotary shaft 51 of the rotary fluorescent plate 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
