<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing arrangement which takes into account altered conditions in an automatic and simple manner, when a mechanical gap varies between a stop state and an operating state. <P>SOLUTION: A sealing arrangement for sealing a gap 22 between two adjacent, thermally and/or mechanically loaded components 14 and 14' of turbomachinery or a gas turbine, includes a seal member 25 supported in a notch 23 which extends in the lateral direction orthogonal to the gap 22 and traverses the gap 22. The seal member 25 is at least partially made of a shape memory alloy, and when a predetermined temperature limit is exceeded, the seal member 25 changes its sealing characteristic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
