<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material that can be accumulated and packed without piling up involving inversion and that allows a new or existing roof to be roofed, and a repairing method using the roof material. <P>SOLUTION: The vertically roofing roof material including: a roof material body 1 having a contour shape formed by a pair of extending long edges 1a, 1b and a pair of short edges 1c, 1d extending in the beam direction with these long edges placed thereon and thereunder respectively; and an upper seam 2 and a lower seam 3, each connecting to each of the long edges, is used for roofing the roof by fitting each of an upper or lower seam of another roof material disposed to be adjacent. The upper and lower seams are each composed of: an inclined side plate 2a, 3a rising up from the long edge; a head 2b, 3b connecting to the upper end of the inclined side plate via a locking jaw and having a tapered tip shape enabling fitting to the upper or lower seam of the other roof material disposed to be adjacent to the roof material body; and an inclined side plate 2c, 3c being hung and held to the head via the locking jaw and forming a bottom opening h, i of a cross-sectional chevron shape mutually with an inclined side wall. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
