<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an image forming liquid cartridge, having a sealing part with a large opening area, enabling a mouth of a container to be smoothly capped without causing liquid leakage, and stably retaining image forming liquid. <P>SOLUTION: This method includes the steps of: preparing a container body 113 that supplies/discharges the image forming liquid and includes a mouth 114 having a locking part formed in an inner peripheral wall; filling the container body 113 with the image forming liquid, which contains at least a coloring agent, a first acetylenic glycol-based surfactant and water; and locking a claw part to the locking part by attaching a cap part 122, which comprises a cylindrical body, the claw part protrusively provided on the outer peripheral wall of the cylindrical body, the sealing part for sealing the mouth, an abutting part formed in the central part of the sealing part and abutting on a drilling tool for drilling a hole in the sealing part, and a first rupture part extended to an outer peripheral part of the sealing part from the abutting part and formed thinner than the sealing part, to the mouth 114.
