<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophoretic display device capable of charging an electrophoretic ink homogeneously without the entry of air bubbles, capable of ensuring a homogeneous space between electrode substrates, causing no display spots, capable of inhibiting contamination of an adhesive by particles to prevent breakage caused by delamination of the substrates, and achieving high contrast. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an electrophoretic display device 30 comprises the steps of: forming a plurality of cells 15, 15... made of insulating structures 16, 16... on a first electrode substrate 10; charging cells with an electrophoretic ink precursor A containing at least one kind of electrophoretic particles and a solvent; removing the solvent from the electrophoretic ink precursor A; removing the electrophoretic particles from the top faces of the structures; charging the cells 15, 15... with an electrophoretic ink precursor B containing no particles; and laminating the first electrode substrate 10 and a second electrode substrate 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
