<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat generating body cooling device and a heat generating body cooling method that reduce a flow resistance by linearly conducting a cooling fluid, and emit heat in groove portions without stagnating it. <P>SOLUTION: A heat generating body cooling device 1 includes a radiator 2 having many plate-shaped radiation fins 2a formed at predetermined intervals on one surface of a metal plate to form groove portions 2b between adjacent radiation fins 2a, and a dish-shaped cover 3 covering the radiation fins 2a, and is configured to cool the radiation fins 2a with a cooling fluid. Tip ends of the radiation fins 2a are spaced from a bottom surface of the cover 3 to form a flow passage 8 for conducting the cooling fluid, openings 3a are formed in the positions of a front end 8a and a back end 8b of the flow passage 8 in the cover 3 to conduct the cooling fluid linearly, the radiation fins 2a have plate surfaces arranged in parallel with the openings 3, and the cooling fluid is conducted substantially at right angles to the plate surfaces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
