MULTI-LAYER MOLDING APPARATUS, AND MULTI-LAYER MOLDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layer molding apparatus that prevents displacement of a skin material caused by a draw-down phenomenon by a premolding process for enhancing the heating/softening efficiency of the skin material, and shortens molding cycle time, and to provide a multi-layer molding method.

SOLUTION: The multi-layer molding apparatus includes: a common mold attached to a fixed plate; a rotary mold part which is combined with the common mold to form a mold cavity and has at least one set of parallel mold dividing surfaces; a dummy plate attached to a movable plate and having heating means arranged on the surfaces opposed to the mold dividing surfaces of the rotary mold part thereof; a rotary mold support means arranged between the fixed plate and the movable mold and rotatably supporting the rotary mold part around the rotation axis orthogonal to molding opening and closing directions to move the same; and a vacuum molding means enabling vacuum molding in the mold cavity of the rotary mold part.
