<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger that has an optimized balance between the pressure loss of refrigerant flow paths and heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchanger. <P>SOLUTION: In the heat exchanger 1 including water tubes 6 serving as water flow paths and refrigerant tubes (4a, 4b) serving as refrigerant flow paths, and for exchanging heat between water flowing through the water flow paths and refrigerant flowing through the refrigerant flow paths, the refrigerant tubes (4a, 4b) consist of high temperature refrigerant tubes 4a upstream of the refrigerant flow paths and low temperature refrigerant tubes 4b downstream of the refrigerant flow paths, wherein the high temperature refrigerant tubes and the low temperature refrigerant tubes have a relation of N1>N2 and the average number N of paths defined by formula 1 falls within a range between 1.05 and 1.68, provided that the high temperature refrigerant tubes 4a have the number N1 of tubes and the length L1 and the low temperature refrigerant tubes 4b have the number N2 of tubes and the length L2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
