The apparatus has a gas supply line for a gas stream, where a connection is formed between an exhaust pipe (5) and the gas supply line. A valve unit (12) is provided for influencing the flow rate of the injected gas stream. The connection is formed by multiple bores (10), which work together with a slider (11) of the valve device, such that a predetermined volumetric flow is released depending on the number of bores. The bores are formed in the lateral surface of a cylindrical casing (8), where the slider is provided in the casing. An independent claim is provided for a turbine housing for an exhaust gas turbocharger or a turbo-compound system.
