The damper (2) has a spring unit (36) that is provided between rotatable components (18,20) for rotating desk long circumferential direction (10,12). A sliding shoe (42) is provided with a receiving portion (84) for receiving a coil spring (38), so as to produce driving connection with spring along transverse direction (60) and longitudinal direction (46,48). The sliding shoe of side legs is extended along circumferential direction of spring. The coil spring is engaged behind lateral legs of sliding shoe along the transverse direction of the spring.
